Singer-songwriter Alisa Fineman has extended an olive branch to all religions with her new CD. The Aromas-based artist has released "Closing the Distance, Poems, Prayers and Love Songs."
Fineman sings in English, Arabic, Hebrew and Ladino on the album. And she hopes it will inspire people to realize the oneness of all faiths and bring people to know one another better. She said the album is a bold move for her but one that she hopes will promote peace and understanding among people...
Produced and co-arranged by Alex de Grassi, "Closing the Distance" offers 12 songs. Guest vocalists Elias Lammam and Shabda Kahn sing in Arabic.
