Amr Diab has signed a contract with production company, Al-Adel Group, to portray the role of the conqueror Tarek Bin Ziad in a film directed by Sherif Arafa who has been nominated to direct the film. The movie about the golden era of Arabs in Spain is expected to be screened in September 2005 along with the release of Amrs next album.
On the other hand, Amr Diab has denied recent circulating rumors that a dispute has occurred between him and famous Egyptian actress Faten Hamama...
The rumors said that he turned down a dinner invitation from her. The singer stressed that he never received an invitation from Faten and that if he had, he would not turn it down and would have been the first guest to arrive.
