Saddam Hussein on trial!
The man that ruled Iraq since 1979 with an iron fist is facing an Iraqi court for the crimes he committed during his bloody years of rule.

Chained and unshaved, the mighty dictator was brought into the hearing facing a young judge...

Maybe this could represent a transaction of power from an old generation to a new one. However, generation gap or not, Saddam Hussein remained the man everyone knew only too well. He refused to sign the list of 7 accusations against him which included crimes against humanity. He also defended the invasion of Kuwait in 1990 remaining as everyone knows, defiant till the last.

Who knows what image we will next see the once iron man of Babylon? We first saw Saddam in his great moment of defeat when he was captured in a humiliating appearance. What more it will take the American media to degrade him?

What is surprising is that even today, Saddam Hussein still has supporters and of course, not to mention, enemies.

Regardless of what the outcome of this trial might be, the world will be focusing on the proceeding themselves with widespread speculations regarding the capability of such a court to trial such a man.

Is there any doubt concerning his indictment? Could he actually be set free? Well, It took 3 massive wars to bring down the boss of Baghdad, we can certainly be sure they won't give him back so easily.
