Video clips were an innovative way of enriching and enhancing songs making them more interesting for people, in addition to introducing the singer through small movie telling a short story. In the past few months, things have shifted slightly in the world of Arabic video clips, instead of telling a story of love, hate, sadness and other moral feelings, Arabic video clips are tending to advertise seduction and to an extent erotica...
Some female singers aren’t really qualified to sing; they don’t have a good voice that could be called “ok”, but on the other hand they have bodies and ability to convey messages of seduction, erotica and nudity!
Some people may disagree but …Why does a short have to be so small and tight that it becomes equivalent to a pantyhose? Why does a top have to be so tiny and revealing that it becomes a bra?! Do the clothes really change the scenario or story of the video clip?

so why not, if the whole world is doing clips like thsi why should we have to be behind and show old fashioned style "fresh off the boat" tedious clips where u have two ppl in stupid garden running to eachother, singing and dancing amoungst the flowers and waterfountains. PLEASE that is so FRESH and boring and way to 80's. we need funky new styles to keep up with the rest of the world AND BE JUST AS GOOD, AND IF NOT BETTER THAN THE REST OF THE WORLD when it comes to music. and if we want our music to be embarrased by the younger generations in order to keep it alive for many years to come we have to show them cool and trendy clips that cater to their era that they are growing up in. Also we want it reach all the international arabs living in non-arab countries, we dont want the to forget about their arab music culture so if we make it more exciting for them and show them that the styles theya re presented in are just as good as the western clips that they are constantly surrounded by, they will embrace it more and not think that our music is not so oldfashioned to their liking, and they will not be as embarrassed to show their non-arab friends these cool new clips, they will want to show them off their friends and show them how cool we are- its about time we set westerners straight and prove to them how cool and fun the arab world really is. why cant we show off what we have.
i think arabs should get over it and accept the fact that people are doing it to create interest and aesthically pleasing images to invoke interest and appeal.

i think erotica is fine ONLY if they can trully sing and not be put on clips just to be sexualised and show off their image. if they can sing and show off a bit of skin then thats cool, but when u have ppl like haifa wehbe(dunno how to spell her name)who cant sing for six and are just put up there to be sexualised then i think thats stupid, coz we can all catch on(well most of us that are thinking with our brains and not our other regions)

I just have somethin 2 say...... i am a christian living in Lebanon, and this is not a fight betw. religions. Most of my friends are muslim and i know wut they think, and i agree with them abt most things. But its not bcz of ur religion u shouldnt like 2 c video clips that uncover, its the personality of the person. i know plenty of ppl who like 2 c hiafa wehbe show her body, and i dont agree with them. if they want 2 be a singer, then sing, if they wanna be a stripper, then strip, but not on tv while we r waiting 2 watcha nice CLEAN video clip.
