Enjoy these photos from the MBC annual Iftar which was held in Beirut. Most of Bab el Hara cast were there, like Wafiq Al Zaeem (Abu Hatem ابو حاتم), Wael Sharaf (Motaz معتز), Milad Yousef (Issam عصام), Mona Wassef (Om Josef), Jumana Murad (Sharifa شريفة)... also, the cast of the Egyptian TV series Zohra wa Azwajeha Al Khmsa (زهرة و ازواجها الخمسة) were at the Iftar, like Ghada Abdel Razek (Zohra زهرة) who came with two of her husbands ;)!

Among the guests were also the stars of the historic TV drama Al Qaqaa, Saloum Haddad (Al Qaqaa القعقاع) and Rafic Ali Ahmad (خالد ابن الوليد Khalid Bin Al-Walid).

Everyone is busy this past week, figuring out what to watch and trying to find the time to actually watch all the nice shows on TV… me included of course. Although I am Lebanese, I hardly watch any Lebanese series or movies; however I am more than glad that one of the shows that I am excited about this Ramadan is Sara.

The Muslim Brotherhood have been the vocal point of mass arguments and controversy among the people of Egypt and the Arab world over the past six years or so. Their history however dates back as far as the early 1920's, with the birth of Hassan Al Banna, founder of the brotherhood. The history of the brotherhood along with its current activity in the Egyptian political scene will be further, fully developed and discussed this Ramadan in the most anticipated Egyptian series of the year: Al Gama3a. The series co-stars various different actors, from Salah Abdullah, to Eyad Nassar and Ahmed Helmi and Menna Shalabi (both as guest stars). Cinematically shot, and written by vetern writer Waheed Hamed, the series has become among the most watched this Ramadan.

Samer Al Masri has always portrayed the Syrian man from the old days, but this year he's surprised us with transforming himself into a totally different character, by playing the role of a taxi driver called Abu Janti, better known as The King of Lancer!
We watched the first three episodes and we really like it. It's really funny and worth watching :D! You get to see Samer Al Masri in a whole new style and get to find out what his funny side is really like ... and it's Uber funny!

Looks like this holy month is sharing its blessing, as gorgeous actress Mona Zaki and comedian Ahmed Helmy have great news. They announced that they are expecting a second child!

Mona’s last work before her elongated maternal leave will be ‘Aswar l Kamar’ as she needs to rest and hopefully if all goes as planned take care of the new baby ‘boy’ or ‘girl’.
